8-Sheet Digital Posters
Product Information
- Circle Graphics prints at 360 dpi in 4-color process.
- Our poster paper is an 80 lb. wet strength poster paper. This figure generally represents the weight of 3,000 square feet of paper.
- The basic determinant of UV fade resistance is locked in the essential chemical structure of the pigment molecules. Our inks contain automotive grade pigments which are the most resistant to fading (and used by the automobile manufacturers in their car paints).
- We guarantee our paper products for 30 days against product defects and/or excessive fading assuming reasonable wear and tear.
- Please note, our paper is not recycled. There is, in fact, no recycled billboard poster paper being used by any printer in the marketplace to our knowledge.

Art Requirements
We are very pleased to provide our customers a brand-new, state-of-the-art digital workflow for your 30 sheet and 8 sheet posters. The benefits of this digital workflow include:
- Immediate processing of your artwork within seconds of art upload completion.
- Online proofs will arrive in under 10 minutes.
- Hardcopy proofs will go out the same day on artwork uploaded by 4 PM (Mountain time).
- All re-orders will benefit from this automatic, digital processing.
- Bottom line & increased speed and accuracy in the processing of your digital image!
This workflow is based on your submission of your artwork using our supplied template. It is important to note that the template is set for optimal output resolution. We realize that due to upload constraints you might not want your file this large in megabyte size. However, please do not downsample either template lower than 350 ppi.

Additionally, please follow these three simple steps:
- Leave the template in its current profile of U.S. Web Coated (SWOP)v2.
- When assigning Pantone callouts use the Pantone Solid to Process library.
- Save the file using an extension of .tif, flatten it (no layers) and save the Tif file using LZW compression. The Byte Order will work either as PC or Mac. Do not use Winzip or Stuffit when submitting template based artwork.
If you have any questions, please email us at prepress@circlegraphicsonline.com or call Matt Lautemann, our VP - Director of Prepress, at 303-532-2370 x17.
Our Photoshop templates are not for you? We hope you'll reconsider; however, we still need your print-ready artwork so here are some helpful tips.
- Circle Graphics supports the latest versions of all the software listed below for both Macintosh and Windows:
- Major drawing applications (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Macromedia Freehand).
- Major page layout applications (i.e., QuarkXPress, Adobe Pagemaker and Adobe Indesign).
NOTE: we do not accept files built in MS Word or Powerpoint or any other word processing or publishing program for that matter.
NOTE: When using these software packages to create files please follow the same basic information herein, but keep in mind that you will need to compress the files into one archive using Stuffit for Macintosh users and WinZip for Windows users. This helps maintain the file's integrity and prevents fonts from getting corrupted during upload.
- Files should be created at 3.429" tall x 7.571" wide at 420 ppi. This resolution is our recommendation for optimal output. We realize that due to upload constraints you might not want your file this large. We will certainly accept your downsampled file; however, please do not downsample to a resolution lower than 350 ppi.
- When building files please use US Web Coated (SWOP v2) color profile for your color builds. If assigning PMS builds please use the Pantone Solid to Process library of colors as all jobs will be printed in 4-color process.
- There is no bleed to this poster so your imagery can go to the edge of the 4.2" x 9.1" size. Please do not add rule lines or any additional information to the file that you do not want to print on your final poster.

Production Standards
- Our 8 Sheet Poster product is 60" height x 132" width (or 5' x 11').
- The poster paper will stretch approximately 2% in the width when wet and will install to a width of 11' (our production takes this stretch into account so your installed product will actually be 11' wide).
- An 8 sheet poster is printed in 3 panels. The panels themselves have a 1" overlap (rain flap) left over right. The panels are labeled A1, B1 and C1 and are installed in that same order.
- To aid in the alignment of panels we provide square registration marks printed in the corners of each poster panel. Please install the posters so that the registration mark on each panel is underneath and aligned with the registration mark that overlaps it.
Product Labeling & Packaging
- Folding: Panels are folded in half bottom to top and then folded in half again. They are then collated so that the order of the panels from outside to inside is A1, B1, C1. Once collated the group is folded in half to make a bundle.
- All poster panels are labeled on the back with the Panel ID, the panel configuration schematic, Order ID, Line #, Advertiser and Design (as seen in the link above).
- We ship our 8-sheet posters in boxes of different sizes with our largest box able to hold up to (50) 8-sheet posters per box.
- On each box there are three labels as set forth below:
- Shipping label: details of the shipment provided by our shipping company.
- Packing slip: indicating the job number, the product type and quantity ordered and the quantity contained in the box.
- Picture label: a label with a black and white image of the board contained inside.
